Unboxing: Mio Mivue 238HD

Unboxing done by fishman lee from mobile01.com

From the box itself, it looks like a digital camera. Typically, dash cam doesn't resemble a
digital camera.

From the side of the box, you can see the specificatoins.
Image Sensor uses CMOS, 120megapixel, resolution is 1280x720(HD) 30FPS
Uses MicroSD (Class 6 or above recommended).
Product dimension is 103.2x64.4x18mm (without lens)
Weight: 82g      Power:5V/2A

Mio Mivue238HD uses 2.5" color LCD screen, so users can preview the recordings, change video settings and record manually for emergency recording. G-Sensor feature will record video instantly and automatically when there's an accident.

The product itself and its included accessories. 6 adhesives are included.

Mio Mivue 238HD Dash Cam looks like a conventional digital camera

120 degree wide angle lens, CMOS 120 megapixel, MOV recording format, 1280x720 resolution,
H.264 compression

Rear of product: 2.5" color LCD screen

Looks simple to use. The buttons are (top to bottom): Event (Emergency recording)/Return,
Menu/Enter, Play/Up, Battery Save Mode/Down.

The Event button (emergency recording) is handy when you need to save the file quickly right after the accident. Once you click it, Mio Mivue 238HD will save the footage from 10sec before and 20sec after
you press the event button. Since 238HD records video in loop (continuous recording, overwriting old files
after the memory card's full), the function of event button will save your emergency file in a different folder so it can't be overwritten.

Bottom of 238HD.  Made in Taiwan. Top Quality.

On the side, there is Micro SD slot, Mini USB power and AV out. However, AV out cord is
not included in the package.

On the top, there is the metal threaded hole for mounting. metal material for better durability

The car mount is a suction cup mount. It is a simple design and easy to operate.
You have two adjustment knob to achieve your desired mounting angle.

Mini USB car charger

Insert the Micro SD card. Make sure you format it in the menu first before recording.

Set the date and time first. You will need accurate date and time to use your video as evidence.

You will find G-Sensor setting in the setting menu. G-sensor is one of the primary feature
of 238HD. Once it senses the impact, it will record the g-force and direction. You can adjust
the sensitivity of the G-sensor.

Recommend mounting it below the rear view mirror to get better view angle.

Clear at night.

This is the program that came with 238HD. There are sensor reading, date and time of
your video footage.
